When I was five years old, my family and I moved to Zambia, Africa, as missionaries.  I spent the next ten years of my life as a missionary kid.  We had to return to the States in 2012 because of health problems that my dad was battling.  It was quite an adjustment going back to a Christian school, but I am so grateful for those years.  I had the privilege of being homeschooled while on the mission field and then being a part of Fairhaven Baptist Academy.  After graduating from high school, I knew that God wanted me to attend Fairhaven Baptist College and study Elementary Education.  I had the wonderful opportunity to student teach in the 5^th and 6^th grades during my senior year at college.  It is amazing to look back and see how the Lord has prepared me for teaching!
